The Story Behind the Song

When I decided to record an album celebrating the birth of Jesus, I had no idea what I was going to call it. This problem was soon solved when I logged on to one of my favorite online message forums, Fresh-Hope.com. I had been thinking for some time that “Fresh Hope” would make a great title for a song, so I figured, “Why not?”

This is one of the few songs here where the lyrics actually came first. This song started as a poem about the new life that is received when Christ enters your life. The music came from another song written years ago called “Devotion”.

The message here is very simple: everything changes with Jesus. Everything becomes new and fresh when Jesus enters your life. When he came to this earth, our hope was renewed like it never had been before.
