Lyrics

In God's Love

Words and Music by Eric Gwin.

The Story Behind the Song

This song features another great lead by John Putnam. When writing songs for Ariel’s second album, I began a personal study of God’s love. I find it fascinating that God continues to love us, even though we make mistakes and often don’t follow what he wants us to do. We serve an awesome, loving, and unbelievably forgiving God!

This song actually combines 2 of my favorite lyrical themes: Love and Heaven. It’s pretty cool that God loves us and cares for us, even when we don’t deserve it. It’s even cooler that when we get to Heaven, we will be with him, inside his love for eternity. Praise God for his love!

The Lyrics

I love the Lord. He loves me, too.
And I want to let you know
that he will also love you (He loves you, too.)
(He loves you, too.)
Through his grace I'll see his face
and I won't be ashamed
to claim he's mine. Its the right time
to praise his Holy name.
(I'm in God's love)

Chorus: Happily ever after in his love.
Yes in his love. And we'll live
happily ever after in his love.
Yes, in God's love!

I see my life. He sees it, too.
and we also see my sin
and wonder what will I do? (What will I do?)
(What will I do?)
Through his grace I'll see his face
and I won't be ashamed
to claim he's mine. It's the right time
to praise his Holy name.
(I'm in God's love)

Chorus

Bridge: We won't worry anymore
because we'll be over on Heaven's shore.

Chorus
