Eric Gwin presents...Songs from the Vault Lyrics |
See You at the Top
Words and Music by Eric Gwin.
The Story Behind the Song
This was the first song written for the second Ariel album, and it covers one of my favorite subjects: Heaven. I love writing songs about Heaven simply because the idea of going to Heaven sounds so much better than staying here. Picture this: No death, no sickness, no famine, no war, no hate, no darkness, no hardship, lots of joy, lots of singing, and NO END! I can’t wait to get there, how about you?
The Lyrics
I know that someday we will make it to Heaven.
I know this by the lives that we've lived.
I know someday we will meet him in Glory
and he will give us the gift he promised he'd give.
Chorus: I'll see you at the top of your life! (Gonna see you up in
Heaven!)
I'll see you at the top of your life! (Gonna see you at the top!)
I'll see you at the top of your life! (I'll see you at the top!)
I'll see you at the top of your life!
I can't describe this joy that I'm feeling
because Heaven is just a step away.
We'll rise into the air and he will greet us
and we will be in Heaven to stay
Chorus
