Though it started out as just a simple home studio for demos and private recordings, The Cage has grown into a totally digital, professional audio production facility and
Eric's recording haven of choice. All of the Refuge EP, The
Thirty-Three and a Third Starter Kit, and Eric's most recent solo album, The
Calling were recorded here, along with portions of the
Songs from the Vault compilation CD
and Q's Into His Presence album. The Cage also served as the remix facility for
Songs from the Vault.
The Cage is primarily used for Eric's recordings, and recordings by the artists on
his record label, Spectacle Entertainment. However, he does make the studio available for clients as well.
At The Cage, we specialize in acappella and acoustic recordings, but we are also open to
large-scale instrumental projects. The studio is located within Eric's home, so
you can experience a wonderful Christian atmosphere while recording in a
comfortable "home-studio" environment. Eric is the primary engineer,
so if you are working on an acappella project, you have the added benefit of an
experienced acappella specialist working on your project with you!
The studio is also set up for mobile and location recording, which is handy for bands and large
groups.
In addition to our recording and mixing capabilities, we
also have a computer-based production suite, dubbed The Insomniac Lounge,
that we use for remix production, post-production editing, mastering, and
audio-restoration.
